Details
The refrigerator compressor acts as the core mechanical pump responsible for driving the cooling cycle. It draws in low-pressure, cool refrigerant gas from the evaporator coils, compresses it into a high-pressure, hot gas, and pushes it forward into the condenser coils to discharge thermal energy. This continuous mechanical cycle maintains stable internal temperatures within the fresh food and freezer compartments. When a compressor or its integrated inverter control board fails, the refrigerator will lose its ability to cool effectively, run continuously without reaching temperature, or fail to start up while emitting an audible clicking sound.
