This genuine OEM door latch and switch holder—also referred to as a door lock bracket—is an essential safety framework mounted inside the microwave cabinet wall. It houses and aligns the primary, secondary, and monitor interlock microswitches so they interface precisely with the door latch hooks. When the door is closed, the plastic ramps on this holder guide the door hooks into place, engaging the microswitches to complete the safety circuit. Over time, friction wears down the plastic ramp edges, or repeated slamming fractures the structural bracket tabs. Failure typically upsets the precise actuation timing of the switches, causing the microwave to immediately trip the household circuit breaker or refuse to initiate cooking cycles when the door is opened or closed.
