Monitors internal oven cavity temperature readings.
Details
The oven temperature sensor extends through the rear interior wall of the oven cavity to continuously measure the internal heat levels during baking, broiling, and self-cleaning cycles. It sends resistance signals back to the main electronic control board to regulate the heating elements or gas valves. As the sensor ages or degrades from high-temperature exposure, its internal resistance values drift out of calibration. This results in inaccurate heat management, causing the oven to underheat, overshoot temperatures, bake unevenly, or display error codes such as E115.
