This genuine OEM dryer thermistor acts as a temperature sensor positioned at the front of the dryer assembly. It continuously reads the thermal environment inside the drum and sends variable resistance updates to the main electronic control board to modulate heat settings. If this component degrades, the control board will misinterpret real-time heat conditions. Typical symptoms of failure include a dryer that shuts down prematurely before clothes are dry, an error code signaling a heating fault, or a system that runs without heating at all.
